Råhuset & Femmuze present Music Across Øresund @ Råhuset

Music Across Øresund at Råhuset 21st June

Thursday the 21st of June, Råhuset in collaboration with Femmuze, offer a unique musical night where artists and bands from Sweden and Denmark meet. The focus will be on an equal musical stage and on musical variety. This evening is being performed with support from the Swedish Danish cultural foundation (Svensk Danska kulturfonden).

Femmuze, the organiser of Music across Øresund, would like to highlight more independent artists in Øresund and thereby also strengthen the contacts between Swedish and Danish artists.
Femmuze works for a more equal musical stage and a creative community with the focus on a “do it yourself” – spirit. The organiser was formed 2017 by Sabina Chantouria, Sonja Skibdahl and Jenny Johansson.

Sabina Chantouria is a Swedish/Georgian singer and songwriter. Together with her velvet voice and guitar, she ́ll take you on a journey, where no one is left unaffected. Sabina Chantouria was 2017 ́s finalists in the Georgian National Final for Eurovision. Her lastest single, Stranger was well-received in media and has been put in rotation on Swedish, Georgian and American radio. She has performed at festivals and concerts around Sweden (such as Stockholm Folk Festival 2015), Denmark, Georgia and in the US.

Stories from Gem is the Swedish alternative singer/songwriter & producer Jenny Johansson. She creates a lush melancholic atmosphere that alternates between darkness and light. Driven by layers of melodic guitars, dynamic vocals and soulful lyrics.
Stories from Gem has played live on Swedish Radio and at various festivals & venues in Sweden and Denmark.
SFG will for the first time perform an intimate solo set at Råhuset.
Her debut EP will be released in 2018.

Jacob Speake
We’ve all been there, the morning after we meet a lover for the first time. Alone in an unfamiliar room daydreaming about the person who left for the shower or, preferably, to make breakfast. Jacob Speake has written the definitive LP for those very mornings. The album “Dreaming of the Past” takes the listener on a time travelling tour through Europe, Jacob’s memories shining lights in bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens where intimate scenes played out, love was realised, dreamed of, passed by and found again.

Where Seas Collide
Where Seas Collide is the Copenhagen based indie-folk duo consisting of Nanna-Karina Schleimann (DK) and Susanne van den Heuvel (NL). Two voices blending seamlessly such that it becomes difficult to hear where one stops and the other one begins. With a strong focus on melody, and layers of intricate harmonies, they accompany themselves with guitar, ukulele and a loop-station.
